Transition 3 year old to own room

Hi.
I co sleep with my 3 year old and today I tried trialing her to sleep in her own. She was excited and happy at bed time and stayed there
But middle of night woke up and started crying and wouldn't settle
I hugged her several times every 15 mins she just started crying again
I gave up and brought her to my bed.
How do I do this? Help

It’s only the first night. She’s been sharing a bed with you her entire life and now she’s in her own bed in her own room - that’s a huge deal!

Could you maybe sleep on the floor of her room, so she has you close by whilst she’s still getting used to her new room and bed?
