Can acid reflux start suddenly in toddlers?

My little girl started vomiting a week ago. Only at night. This has continued, she has presented as more unwell as the week went on although probably a lot to do with her barely eating.

Everytime we think it's settling then we'll get to bedtime and she will be sick again.

Today she was in good form, actually ate a bit, went to sleep then woke up and hour later and threw up.

So we originally thought a tummy bug but now I'm wondering could it be acis reflux?

Can that start suddenly? She has been making lots of burpy noises and earlier when she did it she said "little baby boke" so I think she felt something coming up her throat.

Poor thing isn't eating because she's scared of being sick. And she's just no energy because of this. Saw a doctor today but since her vitals were good they didn't do anything.

She's starting to think she will throw up every night now as normal and it's breaking my heart.

Turns out it was reflux. She was given omeprazole which resolved it completely. Had to take it for a month and that cured it.
