The soft toys with plastic pellets inside....like bean bags infact. DD has a few and they are all minging and I was going to put them in the handwash cycle of my machine. Do you think that will work ok and do I use softener or not??

DD baths hers with abay shampoo. then leaves to drip dry on washing line.

I did that - machine washed them on a gentle cycle and they are fine.

Before putting in the washing machine stick it in a pillow case would be my advice. My toys are fine with this treatment.

Thank you for your replies! Do they still dry to be soft and fluffy or do they go crispy?

they are nice and fluffy if you tumble dry them ( low heat)

oooh this is getting better and better - I assumed I couldn't tumble them. I am not convinced that my 'low heat' is very low though

My DS jelly cat teddy has been washed and tumble dried many times and is fine. I even washed and tumble dried their dog which has a 'woof' in its foot and that came out fine.
