Should I be waking baby up earlier?

Hi all. Current routine with 8 month old DD is she wakes for a feed at around 6:00am. I put her back down after this and she sleeps till about 8:00am. She is still waking up a few times in the night to feed so I cling onto this bit of sleep.
However I’m going back to work/she’s starting nursery in mid September and a few people have commented that I should be keeping her up after her first feed to get her used to the wake ups.

For nursery/work we will need to be out the door at 7:15am so my plan was to get up first and then sort the baby out.

Shall I start waking her up earlier? I do realise that it might take her a few weeks to adjust to an earlier wake up, I’m just having a hard time of the thought of relinquishing my morning zzzz

edit: currently typing this in bed worrying I’m doing the wrong thing!

No I wouldn't, enjoy the lie ins while you can and I think your plan of getting up and getting ready first is sensible. When it comes to it the baby will adjust to the new routine after a few weeks.

Enjoy the lie In and peace i and she would probably be cranky if you got her up at 6.

Don't do it! September is ages away. Loads could change before then. Enjoy your summer of sleep.

Oh good I’m so glad 🤣 If she was sleeping better at night it wouldn’t be so much a traumatic prospect. Think I’ll start getting her up a bit earlier a few weeks before it all starts (maybe!)

Concentrate getting yourself up and ready does she have a feed when she gets up or do you give her breakfast ? Her eating will be different by September so she might not need a milk feed when she gets up.

Thanks this does seem to make more sense. At the moment she has milk and I give her some breakfast about an hour later
