We bought a £10 travel kettle off of amazon for our bedroom, and used it with the nuby rapidcool. Saved us going downstairs to the prep machine in the night. Also bought a cheap nappy caddy off amazon to take everything (bottles, rapidcool, formula) up and then back downstairs in the morning. Could stash snacks in it too for night feeds! Genius and made it all alot easier x

I made feeds up in advance (yes this is an absolutely safe method) and kept them in the back of the fridge. At night we put them into insulated bag with ice packs that kept them cool all night.

We also bought a second hand microwave* for £10 which we had next to the bed.

From waking to being fed was any 30 seconds and didn't require anyone getting out of bed.

  • We are told not to do this, but as long as you use common sense it's fine. There were some very sad deaths that occurred because people heated the bottles until literally boiling, didn't check them, somehow didn't notice even touching the bottle and somehow fed them to the poor babies. But if you are only warming them slightly, swirl to prevent heat spots and check on your wrist they're really is no risk.

Perfect prep here. Means you don't have to worry about washing stuff up in the night (assuming you have enough bottles) and it's definitely going to be the correct temperature.

Perfect prep. I was ok with going downstairs to the kitchen to do it.

I bought ready made bottles for use at night for speed/ease. Thankfully I think we didn't need them for long, he pretty much slept through from 3 months.
