ADHD son?

I’m not sure if I’m looking for something that isn’t there or if my partner can’t see what I can but I am worried my son has adhd and would benefit from some CBT to try and change some of his thinking processes?

My son is 7 nearly 8, he struggles with impulsivity and can not accept his role in anything/ accept responsibility for his actions.

it’s exhausting and I worry all the time about ‘what he’ll do next’. He’s been experiencing issues at school but now he seems to be on track in lessons it’s just at break ( when unsupervised) he can make the wrong choices.
does anyone have any experience of similar? I don’t know if he’s just a young stereotypical boy and he’ll grow out of some of these things with guidance or if he’s going to need an intervention. I don’t think he’s ‘bad’ enough for medication. He gets 10-11 hrs sleep a night, limited screens, lots of outdoor exercise and eats well. We also chat over things A LOT but I feel I’m getting no where and it’s taking it’s toll.

@Notsurehowtohelphim how are you getting on now? What sorts of impulsivity is a struggle for your som? Mine is 6 and I don’t know what’s normal 6 yo boy behaviour or what’s possible ADHD.
