What is the middle child syndrome?

If you have experienced it, is it really a 'thing'? Doesn't being the eldest and the youngest also come with some form of change, responsibility, differences in dynamic?

If you/your child were the middle child how has it impacted you/your child?

I am one of 6 children, we're all close but all very different. I would say my eldest sister was neglected because of the rest of us coming along, but she is the eldest, not the middle child..

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Its just a thing people try to generalise about the same as being the eldest, being the youngest, being an only child etc etc, yes a few kids will fit the generalisation or it is just the way they are and would be that way had they not fitted in the little generalisation or not.

I think generalisation is the middle child gets ignored and craves attention because the eldest allegedly plays parent and look after the younger ones while the youngest is allegedly babied. I think

Thank you.

I have come across quite a few posts of the middle of threes and they swear they'd never put their children through that again.

I would love to know what to watch out for with my middle child. Is it just the attention?
