Baby won't stop grabbing my glasses

Over the last few weeks, my baby has become absolutely obsessed with my glasses. She's constantly trying to grab them off my face. I know she's a baby and she can't help it but it's driving me insane! It's so hard to cuddle her because she won't leave them alone. Even leaning over her to change her nappy or play with her, all she wants to do is pull them off me.

I can't see without them and I can't get on with contacts at all, I've tried many times. Is this just a phase? How long will it last? Any tips to get her to stop? I was googling laser eye surgery at 2am this morning but I don't think that's a realistic option either 😂

DD got mine a couple of times before realising they are dull and stopping. I tried not to make it a game and seeming disinterested and the novelty wore off fairly quickly.

just tell them no sharply and mean it. Babies soon learn

It is one of the first things most babies learn - not to touch mummy and daddy's glasses

Have you got an old pair or old frames you can hand to her instead?

They do learn eventually

If expensive get some cheap ones for the time being.

You could go the nuclear option and get some sports glasses with the headband but they aren't particularly attractive for everyday wear.

I would say most babies do this - just say a firm no. Like everything, it's a phase and it will pass

My DS Didn't stop taking my glasses off my face until he was around 20 months old. I resorted to contact lenses or a sports band to keep my glasses on my face.
