6mo sleep Vs weaning

Hi all,

DD was a great sleeper (8-10hour stretches) until around 4.5 months when the sleep regression hit and she was up hourly. We then sleep trained her (PUPU) and this improved her getting to sleep and the overnight sleep got better. Since the regression, she'll do stretches of 3-4 hours normally then last week she did two nights of 8hour stretches and I was giddy with sleep!

On 13th, bang on 6 months, we started weaning her. She's been doing a single taste of a veg each day in the morning. Since then, her overnight sleep has become awful, with her often waking every hour. Some of the wakings she whinges then lets out quite a few farts then can't put herself back to sleep. She doesn't seem in pain with it at all, more annoyed that she's been woken and now can't sleep.

Anyway, the return to 1-2 hour chunks of sleep is a real struggle! So looking for advice please.

Was your LO's sleep affected when you started to wean? How long did it take your LO to 'get used' to solids?

Could it be something else? Another sleep regression? Growth spurt? Leap? If so, how long did it last for you guys please!

Well our baby was sleeping through from 12 weeks to 6 months. Then the weaning began...

6 months - 18 months, one wake up pretty much every single night.

18 months to present day sleeps through again
