Babysitting advert for 13 year old?

My very sensible, responsible 13 year old wants to offer babysitting to our neighbouring streets. She’s always been fantastic with children and is saving towards a school trip abroad. I’ll go with her to meet any potential takers, and will be at home when she babysits as a backup for emergencies. She knows she’s not likely to get much interest due to her age but wants to try anyway. She’s looking at first aid courses at the moment. My question is how to phrase her flyer without making herself too vulnerable - she needs to state her age, do we say that I’ll be at home, and do we put a phone number or email or home address - or my mobile? Thank you for any thoughts/suggestions!

I'd second the mother's help idea, although probably still stick to family and friends at this age. That was she's always got adult backup around if something does go wrong, but plenty of people would be glad of someone to entertain the children for a few hours over the summer whilst they crack on with other things.

@mindymindy your DD sounds like a real credit to you.

Mothers help idea is a good one, this could turn into a babysitting opportunity as she gets older and gets to know the family. It could also provide a good potential reference for when she wants to get another job later on.

I just can't believe you resurrected a 2 year old thread to try to hire out your 13 year old like this! Don't you have any concept of internet safety?? The whole thread is people telling the OP not to do this - it hasn't gotten any more acceptable in the last two years!

A 13 yo is too young for having the responsibility of young children.
Most 13 yo are too young to work.
