Can anyone give me any feedback on cottom bottoms. I used disposables with DD1 but have invested in these ofr next time. Are they any good? Also does anyone have a guide/leaflet with instructions on how best to use these?

What have you got ?

I've got a couple of the wraps which I only use occasionally. They are OK... but not a patch on the motherease ones which are in a different league.

Some people get on with well but most find other cloth nappies which are more effective. They have their good points though so don't be put off, I'm sure someone will come along and rant about them soon

www.thenappylady.co.uk has some good cloth nappy advice which covers the type of nappy you have - just one of many sites that does.

I luv prefolds. The Nappy Lady hates them! Cotton Bottoms have been taken over by Bummis. I have a Bummis wrap & it does the job well.

I cant speak for Bummis prefolds. I use Bambino Mio & Junior Joy prefolds. I prefer Junior Joy cos they are slightly bigger & very absorbant.

Preolds are cheap, hard wearing, dry quickly & dont go rock hard, like my shaped nappies in hard water areas.

I think buying prefolds & wraps separately is much cheaper than buying a birth to potty pack.

For example I spent about £60 on 18 prefolds & 3 wraps. This stash is for 6 months plus & will last through til potty training. If starting from newborn you would need more wraps.

I think the key is to buy wraps especially designed for prefolds (Bummis, Diaperap, Prorap to name a few).

Good idea to buy just a few & see how you get on with them.

Forgot to add, for instructions on how to use prefolds etc, download nappy guide from www.twinkleontheweb.co.uk
