How much sleep are you getting with a six month old?

My six almost seven month old still wakes every 3-4 hours approximately. He goes to bed around 6.30/7pm, wakes 10.30/11pm. Again around 2.30am then up for the day anytime from 5.30-6.30am. Is this a normal pattern at seven months? I get one solid 3 maybe 4 hour block from 10.30-2.30 ish but then struggle to fall back asleep after the early morning feed and settle, and often only get another 1 or 2 hours. So often I am running on 4-5 hours a night and after six months I’m exhausted. A lot of other mums at playgroup seem to have a lot more energy so unsure what they are doing differently. Maybe I just have high sleep needs myself. My husband could probably do a night feed but baby puts up a fight with the bottle so his cries wake me anyway. Sleeping in on weekends are also hard as we have a loud 4 year old as well.

The thing that stands out to me is that your difficulty isn't the amount of sleep available, it's that you struggling to fall back asleep after the 2:30am feed.

My first had a similar waking pattern at 6m. She was bottle fed and we alternated nights. It was fine.

My second was a bottle refusing boob monster. She'd wake anywhere from 7-15 times a night at that stage. A single 2 hour block and some bits would be normal for me, though my husband would try to get me another hour or so in the morning. That lasted until 18m.

Second still has sleep issues sometimes now, which means even though she's 5, you've had more sleep than me for the last couple of nights. My normal (when she sleeps ok) is 5-6 hours. I'm very knackered.

To be honest that sounds pretty normal to me but then my little one fought sleep like a demon. He's 20mo now and started sleeping through at about 14 months. Solidarity op, I've been there😅

Sounds similar to my babies at 6 months- is there somewhere else in the house you could sleep so your dh could take over some feeds and let you sleep without hearing the cries? That's how I coped
