Shoes for 11 month old

My baby is 11 months old. He is at the stage where he wants to walk everywhere but needs us to hold his hands to do so. He can’t walk without assistance yet. He is obsessed with walking in our garden and front of house. There’s lots of stony areas which are sore on the feet. Right now he is barefoot in house and socks outside. But I think he needs some sort of first or pre-walking shoes for practicality outside.

Has anymore got any recommendations for this type of footwear?

I just went to Clarkes. The longer you can hold off shoes the better really. They are expensive and grow out of them quickly.

Thank you. Silly question but how do you know when they have grown out of the shoes at this age?

You can buy a measuring gauge and measure at home. They will also advise when to next come in for a fitting.

Look online at how to feel shoes for a good fit as well. It'll become second nature having a squeeze and seeing if the shoes fit well.

Honestly Clark’s have gone to shit, I wouldn’t waste your money!

Startrite I’ve found much better for shoes, and they have a good range of pre walkers as well.

Until 2 months post walking and they stop curcling their toes, you need soft soled pre walker shoes like this:

A very long time ago I used to work at Clarks as a kids shoe fitter. Don't buy hard soled shoes until they're walking with their toes straight - they will cause blisters!
