Confused about childcare code

Hi we currently have a 15 hour code for childcare but little one turns 3 in August. It says online that I can apply now for the 30 hour code to start September, but when I try it just takes me round in circles and won't let me do anything on govt gateway account! So confused!! The nursery is asking for the code in order to allocate a place! Does anyone have any advice or know what to do? Thanks

Govt gateway will give you the 30 code before September, but in the meantime I would give the nursery the 15 hour code to allocate the place. The nursery will likely have a deadline for all the codes for the September term so might be best checking with them.

It will only give you the code next time you reconfirm your details(every 3 months) but that's not clear anywhere!

You can ring and ask them to issue you a temporary code
