Is this because of teething?

So this week my 4mo only wants to sleep on me of a night, I bf so I get drowsy when doing night feeds but she’s been waking for feeds more and if I put her in cot she wakes like half an hour later

she used to go about 2-3 hours and it was good but this week she won’t sleep on her own

what Can I do? I write this panicking as I actually fell asleep for a little bit last night😭 and I never want to do that again I was wracked with guilt when I woke and seen. She was in the same positoon as when I started feeding her she hadn’t moved or anything but it was one time too many

My tiredness is at a bit of a high because like I say I’ve been sat up with her while she’s been like this but I can’t keep doing that I’ll collapse from exhaustion

how can I help her is it just because she’s teething??

Drowsy isn’t the best word probably sleepy? Because I can be awake but notice I get really tired during night feeds and need something to keep me up (I scroll on my phone as my DH can’t sleep with lamp on🤣 so can’t read a book)

It's really hard to breastfeed without cosleeping but it's much better to plan the cosleeping so it's safe. You'd be better to feed lying on your side and sleep next to baby -- follow the Lullaby Trust advice on safe cosleeping, no duvet or pillows near baby, make sure baby can't fall out etc. We have a side sleeper cot attached to the bed so if she rolls out it would be into that for example. Unplanned cosleeping is far more dangerous so I would set up your sleep situation so it is safer. FWIW my baby is ten months and cosleeps still and it makes my life so much easier, she sleeps through when with me unless she's teething in which case it's so easy to let her feed without needing to get out of bed.
