1 year old doesn't want most fruits

16 month old is a good eater, he has always been picky with fruit and would only eat bananas, melon, mango & pineapple.

Last few months he chucks all fruit on the floor except bananas!

I feel like he needs more variety in his diet, i keep offering other fruit but constantly being chucked.

Is there anything i could do encourage him? Or will he change as he is older?

Keep offering in small batches. Maybe yogurt and strawberries?

But I’d mainly focus on veggies and him not developing a sweet tooth

I wouldn’t worry too much, vegetables and healthy protein sources are more important.

Theres a stage when baby and toddler taste buds literally change so that they find certain foods unpalatable, it's an evolutionary thing to prevent them eating poisonous berries etc when we were hunter gatherers.

Instead of offering very sweet foods perhaps try more savoury foods things that you may not initially think of as a snack like carrots, cucumbers, peas and sweet corn to snack on, try different types of apples as their flavours vary massively.
