Bit of an odd one, i tried googling but nothing other than climbing on furniture has come up..

My 14 nearly 15 month old, keeps trying to get into corners, like under a table, or tries to get under the sofa, in a corner, then just chills..

Im wondering why 😂 shes not trying to climb, just gets in a dark corner and sits there chilling, i keep pulling her out and she grumbles and rolls back.

Shes behind in milestones so not sure if it is a red flag?

Does anyone elses LO goes under rather then over furniture?

Have you tried googling 'schemas' ? I think there's an orienteering one that may explain why your little one is tucking themselves away in corners.

My little girl used to do this when she was anxious or stressed

If she seems happy there, I wouldn’t worry. My DD always wanted to be “in” things at a similar age- she spent half her life sitting in the washing basket!

We got some support from a children’s centre, they advise to create a special place for her, we bought a tent and would put a book/treat/ in there for her to have some me time.

red flag because being autistic as I'm sure your brain went straight to, would be a red flag? Yikes.

Did your baby grow out of this one? Mine has just started doing the same and it always makes me worry. I know that babies do odd things though Confused

Oh my this was ages ago 😅 sort of..we've moved to peekaboo. She is having speech and language therapy as has communication delay. There is possible SEN issues and being given advice around sensory problems as awful meltdowns are occurring :(
