How long does it take a vomiting bug to go through the house?

Just that really, how long does it normally take a vomiting bug to pass through your house and infect anyone it’s going to? My 2yo DD seems to have one (vomited 3x last night and once this morning) but we are going on a long awaited holiday in exactly 7 days time. I think she will be fine by then but what are the chances we will have already had it if we are going to get it? This is only our 2nd bug of this type with the first one taking about 3-4 days.

When my daughter caught one, my husband was ill 24 hours later, then I started another 24 hours after that. So it was all done and dusted within 3 days

My son had one last month and its lasted ages! He had D&V for 4 days and I caught it 2 days after that. I was then unwell for almost a week.

I think they are much quicker than that usually so fingers crossed.
