Temperature

My daughter vomitted tonight shortly after going to bed. She has the chicken pox. She eventually fell back to sleep but now has a temp of 39.2. Should I wake her to give calpol or just let her sleep for now and give when she wakes? She is 2.

I would wake her. 39.2 is high and may need medically monitored if it doesn't come down. Hope she's ok

I would probably wake her. Or I would sit in her room and wait for her to wake, keeping an eye on the temp - they're usually restless when it's that high, so it probably won't be long.

I don't like to leave a temp that high unmedicated as my son is prone to high (over 40) temps, so I'd rather get on top of it.

hi honestly I would not think twice I would just give her the meds she needs she[ll go back to sleep as fever exhausts children...I would also suggest rubbing wrists and ankles with a wet towel (cool water) as it will bring it down. Hope she s better already!! regards
