Baby hair growth ?

DS is 2.5, gets his hair trimmed monthly! But I’d say at the age of one if he was a girl I would’ve put a little bobble in for a tiny pony tail :) he got a little ‘mop head’ around 18 months so he started getting it trimmed then

DD is 5mo and quite sparse hair wise! A thin layer of hair.

Will her growth be similar to her brothers?

it sounds silly someone made a comment today there’s another girl on DH’s side and her hair didn’t really grow until she was like 4 and she got loads of comments and mistaken for a boy a lot

don’t mean to sound silly! It would just wind me up and it wound her parents up haha I could see

but in my
hesd I thought if we’re on the same scale/timeline she should. Have a teeny pony around 1st bday

I've just managed to get DDs hair in a teeny ponytail at the grand old age of 3.5. she's always has very light wispy hair. The past year or so it's been growing thicker and outwardly rather than lengthwise.

She was always mistaken for a boy but it was probably a combination of the short hair and because I dressed her in blue. Blue is definitely her colour. It never bothered me everyone just cooed over how beautiful they were.

I should add DS was born with more hair than his big sister has ever had. He's needed it trimmed once a month since 4 months because it grows so quick

I know a few 2 year olds who only have very little, bot nearly enough to tie up. My own DD has quite a bit but it differs massively child to child. She may have a while to go yet before a ponytail so I wouldn't be stressing about it
