Alone in bath?

At what age do you think it’s safe to leave a child unsupervised in the bath?

I don’t mean fully ignored like put him in the bath, I go downstairs to iron and watch tv for half an hour. But just to pop in and out of the bathroom while doing the little chores that keep you ahead like put on a load of washing, or pack a day bag, tidy up toys or make a bed.

I’m our case, our house is reasonably small, my son bathes in the ensuite bathroom as that’s the only bath tub in the house which is upstairs. But the master bedroom is the only room upstairs so the bathroom opens onto the stairwell, and then every other room downstairs opens out from the bottom of the stairs. He’s very playful in the bath so I can hear him jabbering to himself and splashing around from every room.

5 if you're popping in and out and can hear them playing wherever you are. 7 to left completely to their own devices.

We mostly sit with our 4.5yo but happy to pop out to grab something- she's probably fine with us popping in and out in terms of maturity but she likes the company while she plays!

I'd say maybe from 4/5to be in and out. My six year old often asks me to sit with him but often bathes himself now. My seven year old still needs supervision and will for at least another year or so, but then he has special needs.

I’d say 6+ because those tasks you mention, like making a bed, have you out of the room for some time. I’d rush to grab a towel or some PJs from about 4.5/5 though.
