Toys for 18 month old

Can you share what toys your 18+ month olds loved.

he’s growing out of a lot of his current toys and I need some ideas rather than just spending money Willy nilly. The charity shops near us never seem to have anything other than crappy little dolls or cars and I always miss the good stuff on the free pages on Facebook.

We have a load of building blocks and duplo but he’s not really interested in that yet. His attention span is too short.

I just need some toys he can play with on his own that don’t require me to keep a close eye on him (like crayons do) for when I need him to have a bit of solo play.

what do your toddlers love?

Toy kitchen, food, kettle, cups etc. Ride on cars, Megablocks, wooden puzzles, pop up toys, car garage, ball pool, animal cards, threading toys, pig that you put coins in, stickers. And lots and lots and lots of books

At that age my son's two favourites were the Giggle and Spin giraffe, and the Fisher Price big yellow school bus

Also loves his scuttlebug (Argos) and tractors of all sizes

Mine was big into puzzles at this stage.

Either two piece jigsaws, or where you had to fit wooden shapes into a board eg in shapes of animals.

DD is 19mo and can spend absolutely ages pouring water, scooping mud etc in her mud kitchen. She is also obsessed with pushing a doll around in a pushchair.

Thanks all for the suggestions. He’s got a few puzzles which he shows a mixed interest in. Has tons of books which he loves.
we do have a little ride on bus that he’s always liked so I’m wondering if we update to a scuttle bug and ditch the bus. No room for both.

ill be having a look at some of the other idea up thread. Thank you.
