How to keep dd amused at a wedding?

DD is 22mths and is flower girl at MIL wedding tomorrow. She is at that stage where she hates sitting still. Any tips for toys/things I can take to keep her amused?

No suggestions, but will watch with interest as we are taking a 16 mo and a 2.6 mo to a wedding in May. Yikes.

Those small aqua mats are quite good, and have the benefit over pens that they won't get everything else messy

let her try the champagne

for the service I'd suggest story books, clean/dry snacks that take a while to eat like raisins and cheerios

for the reception meal think about stickers, bubbles, crayons and paper

also something like a dolly in a buggy or a vehicle for his to push around

mine like watching themselves on the camcorder/digital camera too which is easy and (can be) quiet!

pack her prettiest pyjamas and put her into bed clothes if it's going to be a late night

(the last wedding we went to had party bags on the table for littlies. my 2 aged 18 months and nearly 5 were thrilled!)

We went to a wedding last weekend and bride had thoughtfully provided a sparkly bag for all the children at the wedding breakfast. Inside were some crayons, a pencil, a drawing pad, a small car and some sort of plastic superhero figure that made dc's day -go figure. But it did genuinely keep the children occupied. They also took lots of photos with disposable cameras.

Could you put together a bag like this for dc? Anything quiet really!

Oh, and some food as they are bound to get hungry & pram for when they wear themselves out.

Have packed some books, little trains, crayons and paper so far, plus iggle piggle and her dollys pram.

DS is 22 months and we recently went to a wedding. But he wasn't a key part so in a way it was easier as we sat at the back and managed to keep him quiet for about two thirds of the service with books and aquadraw and a mini etch a sketch thing. We couldn't give him food as he is a noisy eater. But he really can't sit still so we had to take him out towards the end.

The reception was fine in that he joined up with a couple of other toddlers and they caused mayhem running up and down the bar area but everyone thought it was cute. They did the same during the speeches as it was in a separate area. The meal was fine except I'm glad we had brought lots of our own food, not because he wouldn't eat what was served, but because it was so long between courses and he will only stay in his highchair if plied with food!

We took his PJ's and put him in them about bedtime and left when he flaked so he could sleep in the car.

The hardest part was the venue was upstairs with two huge unguarded staircases at either end, and we (and other parent's of toddlers) spent a lot of time chasing children to stop them falling down them!

All was ok and was def worth talking spare clothes, pj, fave teddy and toys and some nibbles.
