What could these bruises or dark marks be on child skin

So a few weeks back my son developed these inflamed spots on his skin however only on his thighs (uploaded a pic) went to doctors the doctor wasn't concerned said maybe hives eventually the inflammation went away however now what's taken it's place are these dark marks on the parts where the spots are noticed a few days to a week now .... booked an appointment today waiting for doctor to contact tomorrow i'm quite worried about it attached how the dark marks look too bare in mind no where else on his body but his inner thighs on both leg

How do they normally scar or bruise? Friend has noticed her dc actually scar and bruise weirdly so hives, bumps look a lot nastier for longer than most other kids. So far it's no weird underlying cause for that.

If the inflammation was itchy he might have scratched the skin and left bruises due to the skin being fragile?

@IncessantNameChanger he does get marks quite easily I've noticed maybe your right maybe he just got marks from them so fingers crossed it's that

Could it be discolouration from the hives?
I have eczema and when the inflamed piece dies down and goes away I get left with patches of discoloured skin that look like bruises, but they do fade after a while.

some of it looks like ringworm to me

@theladyonherbike you could right but wouldn't the doctor pick this up when we went to the doctors appointment he didn't say anything about ring worm at all the spot didn't look like wing worm only now the bruises that's left back kind of have a ring worm look

Hopefully doc was wrong - go again and see what they say - as its gone on for so long, tell them you are worried and want reassurance etc - you are entitled to to be worried and reassurance and I hope it is ringworm as easily dealt with

Update guys doctor said it's pigmentation from where the inflamed bumps were she said she's not concerned she said sometimes this can happen it will fade away eventually
