Snoozeshade dupe please or worth it?

Is there a dupe for the 6 months plus snooze shade? I have seen some on Amazon but I want one that works when the pushchair lies flat - preferably less than the £35 snoozeshade retails for?

Or should I just buy the original - is it worth it?

We had the original. Loved it. You could look on FB marketplace if it's too ££ as new.

There was a thing where Aldi or Lidl copied it and I don't think they'd done the testing so it had to be taken off the market. That would make me nervous about other dupes.

I'd buy the original, second hand if needed.

I’ve never had one, my kids didn’t seem bothered about napping with whatever going on around them, but if you do get one I’d only touch the original. The wrong fabric, even something as basic as a muslin, can turn the pram into an unventilated oven that can cause over heating. The original has been safety tested to make sure it’s nice and breathable so get that and don’t risk a dupe.

Thank you. I wanted it to protect my baby from the sun on holiday mainly. Our travel pram has quite a big sun canopy but wouldn't protect the entire body. What did you find it most useful for?

100% worth it - I have used one for both my daughters and it keeps the pram nice and cool inside. We were in Lanzarote last week and it was so useful for keeping my 7 month old cool and protected from the sun.

Also, I have seen a few on Vinted so worth looking there too 😊

Definitely go for the Snoozeshade! You can pick them up on Vinted cheap as chips. I opted for the sunshade that was part of my travel system, I made the mistake of assuming it would be the perfect fit for my stroller. The bloody thing constantly popped off and it was a faff to peak in on DD without the handy zipper window the Snoozeshade has.

For safety reasons I would stick with the snoozeshade brand and just go for second hand if needed to save money.
Some seemingly similar products could be entirely unsafe

Crikey, that's gone up a lot in five years! But yes, totally worth it. It was often the only way I could get my child to sleep as a baby.

We had a different brand but this was twenty years ago now - it was absolutely worth its weight in gold, even in the UK for just popping to the shops or whatever (I walked everywhere) where you might not have wanted to do the wriggly baby sunscreen dance but it was a sunny day.

I would stick with a recognisable brand though and try and get one second hand.

@Hyperquiet we used it for walks and nap times. Meant we could also be confident no flies etc were landing on them!
