My five month old wakes HOURLY at night. She also needs a lot of comfort to get back to sleep before returning to her cot.

During the day and before bed, she will only contact nap.

I’m doing everything wrong 😞

You're not doing everything wrong. Babies are like that. It sucks.

Give her a dummy if it helps, co-sleep, sleep in shifts with husband. Do everything you can to get sleep where you can, then sleep train her when she's old enough.

It gets better after sleep training and night weaning.

Totally not doing anything wrong hun. As the PP said above babies are juat like that.

The moment you think you've got your shit together and aren't half bad at this parenting lark they surprise you with some new challenge.

Only way we survived was shifts. I would go to bed about 6.30 and DP would be in charge of sorting until 1am. Sucked to go to bed that early but needs must! We co slept for a bit and contact napped and I thought it would be my life forever.

From about 7 months he went to sleep in his cot no problem and has slept there and through the night pretty much since! He's 2 now and a solid 7/8.30 to 7.30 sleeper. I have to wake him up for nursery!

Weaning helped. We didn't sleep train so no advice that end.

This will get better. Never doubt yourself as a mum. You're doing your best and that's all you can do. You're smashing it.

You're not doing anything wrong.

Look into some gentle sleep training methods and see if anything jumps out as something that could work for you/be worth trying.
