Toddler night waking HELP!

My 2.5 year old DD1 has always been a really good sleeping (settling and sleeping through since about 6 months). Since the start of this year sleep has slowly started to go downhill.

DD2 was born 3 months ago and when she was born understandably bedtime has been awful, tantrums worse etc for about a month-ish. Things have started to improve a bit but for the past week her having milk has become a nightmare.

DD1 has a small bottle of milk before bed which I’m fine about, but she’s now started waking every night demanding more milk and screaming the house down if I don’t give it to her.
last night was the worst. For about 45 minutes solid she was in her cot kicking and screaming at the top of her lungs for milk. I eventually caved in and gave her a small, very watered down milk as absolutely nothing was calming her down. She drank it fine even diluted so think it’s a comfort / habit?

I’m starting to get worried about how we tackle this. Having DD2 now we are exhausted and this is not helping!! frustrating where she always was such a good sleeper. Any advice?
