Leap 4 change in babies personality

MammaStorm · 15/05/2024 21:09

My baby is about half way through leap 4 and he is a lot more serious and concentrating on things at the moment and he is not really chatting anymore. It’s like his is just really concentrating and learning so much he isn’t doing anything else. He is also getting frustrated when he is trying to do things and he can’t manage it, so then he gets quite grumpy!

is this normal? I will he go back to his normal chatty happy self?

What's leap 4?

It’s a development leap babies go through m. It’s notoriously a big leap and they develop lots of new skills. They tend to have a sleep regression at this time as well. There is a really good resource called the wonder weeks which will give you more information

@GanderingGoose it's a baby book some parents ascribe to that at certain ages your baby goes through a development 'leap' that can make them more unsettled. Read it and it didn't resonate with me, but it does resonate with many parents who adhere to it quite closely.
