Two year old keeps hitting and kicking when doesn’t get her own way

My once very calm and gentle DD is now becoming very hard work. She hits and kicks if she doesn’t get her own way, has tantrums most days, refusing to go in her own bed. also now randomly is terrorising our cat by chasing her and trying to kick her so I can’t take my eye off her for a second as I’m constantly moving her away from our poor cat who just wants to be left alone.

Wants her own way a lot. Hates going in the pram and is a nightmare when we are out and has to go back in it.

Im finding this age on one hand lovely as she’s so in the moment and a joy, loves going out and is mostly sweet but on the other hand she’s becoming so hard. I try to keep her occupied as much as possible by taking her out, having toys and play when at home. She’s at nursery half the week.

I am firm when she goes for the cat and tell her no, move her away from the cat, and say ouch and no when she hits me, but what else can I do? She doesn’t stop it despite me saying no and sometimes laughs! I don’t want to raise my voice but how do I get through to get that we don’t hit and to leave our cat alone?! Thanks
