Ongoing diarrhea after antibiotics in 6 month old

Daughter had 5 days of amoxicillin followed by 3 days of azithromycin.

1.5 weeks later and her bowel movements are still literally green water, as in they soak into her nappy like wee. She has the odd one (maybe once daily) that's almost exclusively mucus.

She's exclusively breastfeeding as struggled with weaning as her little tummy couldn't cope yet so Dr said to give her more time.

Do I need to take her to the GP or is it normal to go on this long after antibiotics?

How old? If EBF try reducing/ cutting out dairy in your diet for a few weeks and also give baby a probiotic. Her gut might just be a bit depleted after the antibiotics x

But. Also, yes to the GP

@NDmumoftwo she's 6 months old and I can definitely cut dairy out so I will try that. She has always projectile vomited, like nothing I've ever seen before... like something out of alien poor kid!

But GP was unconcerned so I just got on with it.

On hold to GP surgery as we speak and I'll get some probiotics today.

Thank you so much x

You can get secondary dairy intolerance following illness and antibiotic use. Removing dairy for a couple of weeks to see if it helps and then reintroduce
