Breastfeeding question.

Had a c section on Tuesday but milk wasn’t coming in. I’m managing to pump and express milk but nothing comes out when baby comes to breast although she is latching and sucking. Any advice/tips? Or is it just a case of waiting until it starts flowing on its own?

How do you know nothing is coming out when baby latches/sucks? At this age they take tiny volumes frequently. If your pump is getting milk out likely your baby is too unless you’ve been told otherwise.

Were you told to start pumping by a feeding specialist or did you decide to?

Stop pumping and expressing..your baby will get the milk out much better so long as latching ok. Your milk will likely come in in a day or two. Congratulations!

My milk took 5 days to come in after my section. Just keep putting baby on the breast as much as possible as that is what will stimulate your supply.
