Weaning while abroad

Hi ladies

DD has just started her weaning journey. Isn’t overly fussed at the moment only having small amounts.

we are going to turkey in a few weeks and DD will be just over 7 months.

originally I planned to just give her the food at the hotel, however, after learning about weaning and the fact you can’t have salt etc in the foods, it’s made me think twice about the hotel foods as likelihood is that everything will have salt added to it.

I assume they’ll have things like yoghurt, and probably fresh fruit so I can still give her those.

but in others experience for the sake of a week is it best to take pouches? Or just not overthink the hotel food too much?

it’s going to be costly to buy 2x pouches for 7 days. Although I’m not sure I will really need 14 as DD is a small Eater so doubt she’ll be finished a full plate of food by holiday. Unless they change quickly with weaning?

anyway, lots of Uncertainty here so would appreciate others advice.

many thanks

I’d take a few pouches as back up. In the scheme of a holiday, the cost is hardly anything.

But you’ll find fresh fruit and veg, and fairly simple food like bread, yoghurt and cheese anywhere. So much better to give her good, proper food.
