Wonky front tooth

My child’s second adult front tooth has erupted and looks at quite an angle compared to the other front tooth? 😩 Generally speaking, do teeth tend to straighten out a bit when the bigger back teeth come through or whether I should take them to the dentist to be checked?

Unlikely to straighten themselves, they'll just need braces when they're older

My DDs one came through like this, a few years on (she’s 8) and it has straightened pretty much out. Dentist has kept an eye over the years and reassured; said as the other teeth come through they tend to jostle around. They don’t get hugely concerned unless they get to 10/11 and are still crooked he said. Keep up with dentist visits and bombard them with questions!!

P.s. it’s been growing about two years I reckon. And it was the one that she knocked out as a milk tooth so had a gap for rather a long time!

That’s likely to straighten up considerably on its own. If it doesn’t there are always braces available later!

Thanks, that’s reassuring to know that things straightened up for your daughter- fingers crossed for us! Will definitely keep speaking with dentist.

Thanks everyone, will definitely keep an eye on it and keep our regular reviews with dentist. Fingers crossed it straightens with time, but if not, will explore the braces option.

Hello, has the tooth straightened up at all? In similar position with my child and wondering what the likelihood is that it will straighten.
