6 year olds behaviour

my 6 year old nearly 7 is just non-stop, from the minute I drop him off at school and as soon as I pick him up he’s on the go, massively hyperactive, doesn’t seem to listen, if I tell him off there’s no remorse he just continues jumping, running round, he can’t sit still for long. I appreciate children can be a handful but this just seems excessive, I’ve spoken to his school and apparently he’s well behaved there they barely have to have words with him. He’s not aggressive or anything like that, he used to be so well behaved and did everything he was told but for the last year or so it’s been like this. Does anyone else been in this position and had support from the gp?

Is this all the time or just after school? My eldest is exactly the same after school. It’s like he’s behaved, sat quietly all day and all the excess energy comes out as soon as he comes out. I find walking home from school helps him decompress a little, then snack and a play or run around the garden and then dinner. He has swimming lessons one night and gymnastics another which help to tire him out!

It seems to be whenever he’s not at school, he just doesn’t tire out, but it’s the not listening that makes it a whole lot worse! All 3 of my children get treated exactly the same in terms of play snacks etc but he just seems so full on! 😂
