15 free hours - having second - do these stop during Mat leave?

Hi

My son will qualify for the 15 free hours from September, I am pregnant and due with my second in August.

When I'm on mat leave I want to keep my son in nursery as I'm returning to work and don't want to disrupt his routine.

Will I stop qualifying for the hours for my first when I'm on mat leave for my second?

I am taking a period of my leave as holiday.

Not in Scotland, we similarly had the funded hours kicking in a week after DS2 was born. It really helped with mat pay!

We have this question too. Although theoretical for us because I’m not pregnant yet, just wondered if I needed to save extra to budget for it or not.

No you don't lose entitlement during your second mat leave.
