I know everyone has been telling me not to worry but I still cant stop thinking about this. My daughter is turning one next week - she can crawl very fast backwards and sideways just refuses to crawl forward. she can also stand very well with support (not walking) and can stand for a few seconds without support. I already took her to the HV they dont seem to be worried. Anything here i can do?

I wouldn't worry. Crawling isn't a milestone any more. And she can crawl even if in the wrong direction.

If you want to work on it. Work on her upper body strength. Crawling forwards is a pulling action, backwards is a pushing one. It may be that different muscles need to be strengthened developed further.

Throwing games, tummy time on a water mat, floor keyboard, opening closing books will all help

My DD stood before she crawled, so didn't crawl until about 13 months. Apparently I did the same. I thought she "should" have been crawling by then but she's at school now and walked etc. fine.

She'll figure it out in her own time. Nothing you have described is making any alarm bells ring.
