I struggle every year for gift ideas for my son's birthday, he wants a small 50cc motorbike (not happening unfortunately) other ideas are Oculus gaming VR headset, clothes / shoes, wireless ear buds. Can anyone please tell me what their 12 year old boys have loved for their birthdays?

Rubik's cube
metal water bottle
Basket ball hoop for the garden
Not on the same scale as your listed gifts, but appreciated none the less.

He got a 'Air Up' water bottle last year that was apparently all the rage, used it about 5 times 🙄basket ball hoop is a great idea, thank you x

My ds is 13 now but here's what he got last year between birthday and Christmas. I keep a note on my phone so I can make sure his brother gets similar spent on him.

There's a lot of clothes but thet are things he asked for that might be more 'luxury' items than I'd usually buy for him and he likes his brands.

Cp company shorts

Stone island jumper

Nike Tech joggies

PC Monitor

Oodie

Novelty snacks

Tik tok ring

Gaming Mouse

Phone charger

Power hand ball exercise thing

2x Nike miler t-shirts

Phone holder

Keyboard putty

Mousemat

Aftershave

Baking kit

Cycling gloves

Football grip socks

Sneaker balls

Shoe wipes

My younger ds had the oculus and it didn't get used much. It's an expensive novelty toy really. He prefers ps5 for gaming.

My son would love all that :) but we're in the process of moving him into the box room so no room for the gaming set up. What is a tiktok ring?? He loves TikTok x

I bought mine a pogo stick. He hated it (he has dyspraxia so not sure why I am surprised) but his younger brother loved it!

It's a blue tooth ring that you can scroll tiktok without touching the screen, kind of like a remote control for your phone. You will get them on tiktok shop cheaper, but here's an Amazon link.

Gaming headset sounds like a great idea, and if your son also makes videos about games, you can get him a subscription to one of those gaming video editors.
If he has favorite artists or bands, you can create a poster from a picture of them and frame it or make a poster calendar with their photos. Most artists and football clubs also have official stores, so you can get something from there if you know he is an active fan of a team or an artist.
Gadgets might be a great idea as well, think of something like portable charger, headphones or a phone ring light.
