hello all - I have the privilege of raising an extremely bright 7y old who has strong opinions about ... well ... everything. I don't really know how to give age appropriate motherly advice so each day is me learning.
DD is starting to get a lot of input from the environment and it can be hard to explain what is appropriate. So, how do I help her, and what do people generally consider as appropriate for girls this age? She has loved long dresses with long sleeves and leggings but is starting to outgrow it. As a parent I am trying to find a balance between appropriately modest dressing choices and her being the independent boss she is.
I'd love to hear what works for you in terms of general parenting, and specific dressing advice. With my younger DS it is much simpler and we have some basic rules we both like, such as t-shirt under shirt always.
