Hiya, my baby is almost 6 months old so probably still difficult to tell but we’re not sure if she will be ginger 😍
She’s not bright orange as you would expect a proper ginger to come out like, she was born with dark reddish hair on her head and bright orange eyebrows but her lashes seemed black.
As her hair is coming through, it’s much lighter now and is more orange. In some photos it looks light brown and in others it’s evidently orange. Having looked at her eyelashes in the light they are dark orange rather than black. Her eyebrows are a light orange now.
For context her father is dark blonde/strawberry blonde (when his hair grows out). We were both born platinum blonde and I stayed blonde until 6 ish and now brown but my partner stayed bleach blonde until he hit puberty around 13 and then it went to the dark blonde/strawberry blonde. His mum is also blonde and I have blonde in my family so we’re not sure if she will just go blonde in the end but we were both very shocked to see her come out with darker hair considering we were expecting blonde like us! The other thing is apparently she doesn’t seem pale enough to be red is what a few people have mentioned.
Of course hair colour doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things but was just curious to others experience of redhead children/ children that seemed redhead but maybe didn’t stay that way? We’d love for her to stay red!
