I'll keep this brief. Ex is an abuser but never charged (yet). He's mostly highly controlling but he ended up strangling me Dec 2023 when I was 7m pregnant. 7 yo says he's abit scared of daddy.
Contact was supervised by LA but they can't carry this on. They deemed him lower risk now as we are separated and contact doesn't involve me. He can't address his violence as he doesn't admit it plus their provider won't take a strangler as too high risk. A family support worker is giving him some sessions on ACEs and already he has 2h unsupervised per week. Is there much i can do with regards to contact? I am now being blamed for holding it back despite no real work being done for ex and no risk assessment having been done

I think you need to go and seek advice from a family law solicitor in this case. If it was me, id withhold all contact as I believe it is a safeguarding risk. Let him 'take you to court' which he will have to fund.
