Boosting immune system before starting nursery

Hi all,

My little boy will be starting nursery soon and I'm starting to worry about him picking up all of the illnesses (yes I know them getting ill is a normal part of childhood and they have to develop an immune system)

But can anyone recommend and supplements to help keep the immune system on top form and so any bugs won't completely knock him off his feet

Thankyou

I think you just have to go through the onslaught of every disease known to man when you start in a group care situation.

I always give mine a vitamin D & omega 3 supplement. Also probiotics. But we stop went through the illnesses a bit.

I honestly can't imagine there is anything that can stop it but following with interest.

Our daughter was a lockdown baby and we used grandparents so never went to nursery but started preschool at 3, this winter has been horrendous. She's had 7/8 viruses in just under 6 months including 2 lots of conjunctivitis and a sickness bug. Speaking to other parents it sounds like after this first horrendous winter it gets better. If they are starting in the summer it might be ok until Autumn.

I have got my DD the chicken pox vaccine so hopefully that's one we will miss x
