Just had my second, can't stop crying

I can't stop crying after having my second baby, he was born @ 34 weeks and had a 10 day stay in ICU.. he's been at home for 2.5 weeks, he's a month old on Friday.

I'm now starting to find it all overwhelming and getting triggered by what happened and the journey we had ( my little boy had problems breathing so was ventilated ), I've booked myself in for counselling.

I'm also struggling with the no sleep, 4 weeks broken sleep now and I'm ready for sleep😂 and I know it's a long way away but I don't think it's helping how I'm feeling being so sleep deprived

Oh OP, you poor thing, how traumatic. Your feelings are totally natural and it would be odd if you weren’t feeling overwhelmed. Well done on booking counselling. And sleep deprivation is horrendous - you’re doing great. Hang in there 💐

Didn’t want to read and run. It’s ok to feel this way. Cry as much as you need. I know what your most terrified by is that things could have turned out a different way - but they didn’t. Don’t forget that. There’s someone looking over you both 💐

Ask if your HV does listening appointments. I have just had 6 sessions of counselling with my HV focusing on how difficult looking after my daughter with allergies and reflux has been. We had a session on her as a newborn and me feeling lost and I found it really helpful
