Unfriendly nursery teacher

A teacher at my DDs nursery seems to show preferential treatment to another girl that my DD is very good friends with. They come out at the same time and the teacher will give the other girl lots of praise and talk about what she did and doesnt really say much about my daughter. This is only recent but I find it so odd and not sure what to do. It's very noticeable.

It’s hard to say as there could be a number of factors surrounding why this other child is getting lots of praise.
Is this the only keyworker? Is she your child’s key worker or does your child have another keyworker in the nursery?
Do you ask for an update on how your dd is getting on?

From experience, I’ve seen children receive very positive ‘feedback’ to parents when the child has been going through a tough time of either settling or other reasons. This is usually to reassure the parents and to help the child feel safe and happy in the nursery.

It doesn’t necessarily mean that other child is getting preferential treatment. Although all this depends on your view, is your child happy at nursery? Does the adult respond to her needs?
