Lymph node

My four month old daughter has a raised lymph node behind her ear without any sign of infection. I will of course see a doctor next week but in the meantime I can't stop worrying....

My DC has this OP and it caused me lots of worry too. At 10/11 years they came up behind both ears with no sign of illness and so we booked in to see the GP. Initially the GP felt them and said they felt ok and from memory we were asked to monitor and go back after 4 weeks if there was no change. We went back when they got bigger and became painful (again no sign of illness). We were sent for blood tests and then for an ultrasound on the nodes, which found they are filled with fluid. We've been told they probably won't ever go down but will get bigger when fighting an infection.
It's definitely something to see the GP about OP but hopefully it helps to know it may be fluid rather than anything else.

I wouldn't worry with one raised there, her age is also unlikely for lymphoma.
