Hello fellow parents,
I'm the father of a spirited 3.5-year-old boy who has a penchant for screen time. It's fascinating to see him learn and apply things from what he watches in his everyday adventures. Bedtime, however, had become a bit of a hurdle. We tried various approaches and finally, I've created something special—a family of dinosaurs in the form of audio stories.
These aren't just for bedtime; I've crafted 15-minute segments with educational dialogues, soothing music, and a touch of ASMR, designed to engage and teach during the day without the need for a screen. They've been a hit! Now, as we progress, I'm developing 3-4 minute stories to further his learning and keep the screen time in check. This way, he gets to listen, learn, and wind down, all with the magic of storytelling.
What's your take on this method? Have you introduced similar auditory learning experiences for your kids? I'd be thrilled to exchange ideas on blending education with relaxation techniques.
Best wishes,
