Early wakes, toddler beds and climbing out!

21 month old son, goes to nursery 4 days a week and with me/husband other 3 days. Currently in a phase of horrid split nights, early wakes AND late bedtimes. He’s also just learnt how to climb out of his cot…! He is a chatty little chap and his vocabulary is really good and seems to learn something new every day.

Naps - we cap his nap at 1.5 hours maximum, he often sleeps for less than this (either 30mins to an hour) at nursery. He’s always awake by 2pm, and often worn want to go down for a nap at nursery until 1pm.

Nighttimes - we ditched his dummy 2 weeks ago (he was getting so attached to it, more than ever before) and he’s struggled to fall asleep since then. He seems happy enough but he tosses and turns and chats for around 30-45 minutes and often doesn’t fall asleep until after 8pm.

Overnight/early wakings - 4 nights out of 7he will have a split night and be awake for about an hour and a half. He’s never upset or crying but he is a loud little boy and just chats away. If he does have a split night he will sleep in until around 7am as he needs the sleep when he drops back off.
However IF he doesn’t have a split night, he is often up around 5.45-6am. We leave him in his cot and he chats to his cuddly toys etc, so he rarely wakes up upset…

I am at my wits end of either being woken up for hours overnight or being woken up early, worrying about him climbing out and then having little of my evening left when he finally goes to sleep. Help please!!!
