Hi everyone,

Just hoping for a bit of advice please as a first time mum - baby has first jabs (8 weeks old) in the morning, any advice/tips on how to make him as comfortable as possible after them?

Thank you 😊

Calpol is a often recommended and should help with the discomfort.

My second baby wasn't too bothered but my first baby was quite sensitive so it was a long long night of cuddles and tiny baby whimpering 🙁

So asides from all the obvious cuddles, Calpol, watching temperature for baby I recommend you have yourself a nice comfy set up for the day/night. Snacks, drink, supportive partner, TV and box sets ready in case your baby is like mine and didn't want to be put down!

Hope it goes well. First one feels like the worst but it will be ok.

I’ve got the calpol at the ready! Thanks for the rest of the tips - he’s been quite unusually fussy today for no reason, so I’ve been dreading tomorrow a little bit more already but everything you’ve said has put my mind at ease for me to have a nice chill day with him.

Thanks again 😊

Don’t overthink it would be my advice.

I had my second baby 5 months ago and both my DC were fine. The cried for a bit, but very quickly got over the shock. Just give them a cuddle, and the 3 doses of calpol. My DC2 was mostly sleepy afterwards.
