Swim nappies - FTM needing help!

Please talk to me about swim nappies! I have a little baby girl and we are going on two holidays, one in June (UK) and one in July (abroad). Baby girl will be 3/4 months old when we go away.

What is recommended for swimming? What's the best way to do things? What nappies work best?

Disposable swim nappy with a reusable on top. Many pools have this policy but even they don’t still do it anyway as it ensures against leaks and hopefully means no icky washing. You can get reusables built into swimsuits but personally think it’s easier for changes to wear a reusable swim nappy like it’s bikini bottoms and then put a rash vest on top for either cold (UK) or UV (abroad). Remember also that swim nappies are just poo nets and don’t absorb wee so don’t get them changed until right before you’re swimming!

We always use the huggies swim nappies under a happy nappy (can get from amazon and have long sleeved versions) as it's required by our pool but works really well!

Yep, as @InTheRainOnATrain says, poo nets!!!

We like the happy nappy ones, they are pricey though. We mostly got ours on ebay as they are cheap as chips 2nd hand. Like £1 instead of £14. If you are abroad in the sun you might want a SPF rash vest or all in 1 suit instead. Saves applying sunscreen over and over again

Also, the disposable swim nappies are washable! We used the same few for years as our DS hasn't pooped in the water yet, just put them through with the rest of the swimwear on a regular wash

😱 WHAATT??? Beyond them now as have recently trained my youngest but I had no clue. That’s an amazing tip for anyone with a baby or younger toddler!
