My boy is 3 and just started nursery. Would love some ideas regarding what to pack for his lunch. I can offer him hot food in a flask too.

Sandwiches - ham, beef, tuna with vegan mayo

For the flask - beef stew and rice, tomato Pasta, lentil and bacon soup.

Carrot and cucumber sticks.

Fruit.

It's exactly the same allergies my family have.

We have similar allergies.

I do a carb - sandwich, wrap, pita, crackers, pasta, rice cakes. With a filling - df cheese, df soft cheese, ham, chicken, tuna. Or something like sausage rolls or pinwheels.

A Veg - cucumber, pepper, carrot, tomatoes.

A fruit - apple, banana, grapes, satsuma, berries.

Df yoghurt. Snacky bits like breadsticks, mini rice cakes, vegan soreen, a few crisps, a couple of biscuits.

I have a daughter with a lot of food allergies and best advice is to remember they don't have the same ideas about food as we do and don't realise something is not typical.
My daughter loves pea or mixed bean or chick pea purees with flat breads or crackers. She is allergic to garlic and paprika so can't have regular hummus so these fulfill a similar role

We have the allergy free baby and toddler and family cookbooks with recipes free from the top14. There's a flavour combinations sections for starting weaning which we use for pasta sauces

my kids love home made vegan sausage rolls (the Richmond ones work well), you can buy puff pastry made with margarine and use a little oat milk to brush over before cooking.
