Waiting list for grommets?

My son has just been offered grommets on the NHS (Lewisham hosp), wondering if anyone knows how long the waiting time will be? The doctor just said ‘sometime soon’ couldn’t give a time frame. We signed the consent form today

I think it depends on how long it's been since their initial consultation. I'm not in Lewisham, so can't comment on that.

We saw the ENT team multiple times before it was agreed DD needed a tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and bilateral grommets. But because the first visit was 12+ months prior, she was right at the top of the list. Once the OK was given, she had her operation a mere 3 weeks later.

@Dyra Ah okay thank you. His first appt was May 2023 so hopefully it won’t take too long.
